HP & NATOLI Client Automation Conference 2009
The Results
With attendees registered from 22 major national and international corporations the HP & NATOLI Conference in May 2009 was well attended and well received. It was the largest Client Automation dedicated event for 5 years.
NATOLI received authority to allow the Conference to cover version 7.5, three weeks prior to the official release at Software Universe in Las Vegas. The best rated product presentations covered the latest features and advances in HP CA version 7.5, and the integration with virtualisation technologies.
The attendees enjoyed the customer presentation from John Hardy of ATLAS, covering the technical aspects of Client Automation in 'Battle Space'. John’s presentation points covered the use of HP CA in a critical environment with 125 helpdesks, 300 systems, 6000 applications and 300,000 users.
With Alex Walton taking on the role of Compare for the conference the flow of presentations went smoothly, and an interactive open forum style was maintained throughout the day. Customers introduced themselves to each other, allowing everyone to gain an understanding of the sizes and company types that were present.
The 'Ask the Expert Section' encouraged some lively open debate, with questions being fielded by NATOLI on issues ranging from ‘what impact will a migration have on my users’ to direct questions on specific hardware types.
Demonstrations of HP CA v7.5 and NATOLI’s optiTOOLS were held at each coffee and lunch break.
NATOLI demonstrated three of their own software products, namely optiADMIN, optiFLOW and optiMIGRATE. We also announced that optiMIGRATE (a proven, scalable DB migration toolset for HP CA Upgrades) was free for use during a NATOLI upgrade engagement.
iPod touches were awarded to delegates from Lloyds Register and the Land Registry for top marks in the conference Quiz and for the best 'ask the Expert’ question. Champagne was won by a delegate from Morse for a draw of the conference feedback forms.
